Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 September 2026
This policy explains how Adrenaline Martial Arts collects, uses and protects personal information about parents, children, members and visitors to our website, and the rights you have under UK data protection law.

Information we collect
We collect only what we need to respond to you and run our classes safely.
-
When you request a free trial or make an enquiry: parent or guardian’s name, email address and mobile number; your child’s name and age; your preferred Wednesday; and anything you write in the message box. You give us this through our website form, email, phone, social media or in person.
-
When you join as a member, or enrol your child: names, date of birth, address, contact details, emergency contact, a photo for the member record, membership and payment details, and attendance and grading records, kept in MyMA. You give us this when you join and while you train with us.
-
When you tell us about a health need: information needed to keep a student safe in class, such as allergies, conditions or injuries, kept on the student’s MyMA record. We hold this only if you choose to share it.
-
When you take part in classes, gradings or events: photos or videos taken by our team.
-
When you use our website: messages sent through the website chat; orders, bookings or member account details if you use those features; and device and usage information from cookies.
-
When you ask for news and offers: your email address and marketing preference, when you tick the box on our form or ask to join our list.
Our trial request form asks you not to include medical information. If your child has a health need we should know about, please tell us when we contact you to confirm the trial.
How we use it and why
UK data protection law requires a legal reason, called a lawful basis, for each use of your information. Ours are:
-
Replying to your trial request or enquiry, arranging a trial date and emailing you to confirm we received it: taking steps you have asked for before joining (contract).
-
Running classes, managing memberships and gradings, and taking payments: contract.
-
Keeping students safe, including first aid and contacting emergency contacts: legitimate interests; for health information, your explicit consent, or protecting someone’s vital interests in an emergency.
-
Safeguarding children and recording accidents or incidents: legal obligation and legitimate interests.
-
Keeping financial and accounting records: legal obligation.
-
Emailing you news, events and offers: consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
-
Sharing photos or videos, for example on our website or social media: consent of the student and, for a child, their parent or guardian; it can be withdrawn at any time.
-
Running and protecting our website, and understanding how it is used: legitimate interests; consent for non-essential cookies.
-
Dealing with complaints, disputes and legal claims: legitimate interests and legal obligation.
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have checked that our use is fair and expected and does not override your rights. We do not sell your information, and we do not make decisions about you by automated means.
You do not have to give us your information. Without contact details, though, we cannot arrange a trial, and a child cannot train without an emergency contact.
Children’s information
We collect information about a child only from their parent or guardian. Our website and forms are for adults; children should not send us their details.
Lil’Dragons is a parent-and-child class for ages 3 and 4, so a parent or guardian takes part and stays responsible for their child throughout.
We share a child’s information only as this policy describes, or when we need to protect them, for example with emergency services or safeguarding authorities.
A parent or guardian can use a child’s data protection rights on their behalf. Young people who understand what they are asking for can also make requests themselves.
Who we share it with
We never sell your information. We share it only with the organisations below, and only what each one needs.
-
Wix.com: hosts our website, forms, website chat and any online orders or bookings, and sends the emails our forms trigger.
-
Nest Management Ltd (MyMA): provides MyMA, our membership system, which holds member records, attendance and gradings, and collects membership payments as our payment service provider.
-
MartialGuard: our insurer, for cover and any claims.
-
Emergency services, police or safeguarding authorities: when the law requires it, or someone’s safety is at risk.
Service providers act only on our instructions and must keep your information secure.
Information stored outside the UK
Wix stores website data in data centres in the United States and Ireland, and Wix.com Ltd is based in Israel (Wix privacy and security FAQ). UK law treats Ireland and Israel as giving adequate protection. For data held in the United States, Wix relies on standard contractual clauses with extra safeguards. Nest Management says it may use service providers outside the UK, and protects any such transfer with UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum (Nest Management privacy policy).
How long we keep it
We keep information only as long as we need it, then delete it securely.
-
Trial requests and enquiries that do not lead to joining: 2 years after our last contact.
-
Website chat messages: 2 years after the conversation.
-
Member and student records, including photos: while you or your child trains with us, then 6 years, the time limit for most legal claims.
-
A record of grades awarded (name, grade and date): for as long as we run the club, so we can confirm a grade if you return; ask us and we will delete it.
-
Health information: while the student trains with us, unless it forms part of an accident record.
-
Accident and incident records about a child: until the child turns 21.
-
Accident and incident records about an adult: 6 years after the incident.
-
Financial and payment records: 6 years from the end of the financial year, to meet tax and accounting rules.
-
Photos and videos shared with consent: until you withdraw your consent.
-
Marketing email list: until you unsubscribe.
We may keep information longer if the law requires it or it is needed for a legal claim.

Correct it: have inaccurate or incomplete information put right.

Cookies
Our website is built on Wix, which places small files called cookies on your device. Essential cookies keep the site working and secure, for example svSession (core site function, 12 months) and XSRF-TOKEN (fraud prevention, for your visit only). Wix lists every cookie it sets in Cookies and your Wix site.

Keeping your information safe
Only the people who need your information to run our classes can see it. Our systems are protected by individual, password-protected accounts, and our providers use encryption and security controls to protect stored data.
If a data breach puts your information at risk, we will report it to the ICO within 72 hours where the law requires, and tell you promptly if it could seriously affect you.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy whenever the way we use information changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and we will tell members directly about any significant change.
